Dr. Shelley teaches courses in botanical medicine—specifically within the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, physical examination, and differential diagnosis—at Mohawk College and McMaster University. Recognizing the critical importance of naturopathic education, she serves as a clinical supervisor at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, where she mentors students based on three core principles: integrity, intention, and confidence.
As a public speaker, Dr. Shelley has had the opportunity to address diverse audiences both domestically and internationally. She is a columnist for the U.S.-based publication *Deep Skin* magazine, and her expertise has been cited in numerous media outlets, including *Maclean’s*, the *Toronto Star*, *Fashion Magazine*, the *Journal of Alternative Medicine*, *Your Best Health*, and the *Medical Post*. She has also been featured in interviews on Canadian television. Passionate about advancing her profession to the forefront of healthcare, she joined the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors shortly after graduation. She eventually rose to become the Board Chair, playing an integral role in ensuring that naturopathic doctors are able to practice to the full scope of their training.
