印尼UGM大學客座教授、亞洲生命倫理學會副理事長、北京東方文化研究所特聘研究員,中國生命倫理學會常務理事,北京協和兩岸生命倫理年會共同召集人,湖南省健康管理學會湖湘全民健康工程特聘専家,廣州中山大學醫學人文發展諮詢委員,曾任台灣醫學人文教育和2005年健康台灣政策領航者,行政院生技產業諮議委員會委員和長期照顧政策規劃小組成員。規劃台灣第一個智慧城市,台灣生醫資訊整合中心、發起兩岸生命倫理和醫學人文交流年會,協助泰國、印尼政府精神醫療、衛生政策和生命倫理學規劃,榮獲泰國精神衞生奬。目前因台灣科技部研發技術轉移,獲屏東基督教醫院和台灣各大醫學中心、敎學醫院和主要大學領導人支持,成立推廣智慧醫院和醫養園區的健康亞洲公司,並出任董座,並兼任教授級主治醫師組成的醫療團團長,致力提升亞洲醫療照護和人文倫理水平,促進醫患信任關係。著作學術期刊、專書論文兩百餘篇,專書著作三十餘本,研究領域涵蓋文化研究、比較歷史、生命倫理學、醫學人文、疾病敍事、智慧健康科技,醫務管理和衛福政策。事業領域涵蓋兩岸和東協國家醫療發展、智慧健康科技推廣、跨國專業人才培訓、精準衛生設計和醫養產業發展。
He serves as a Visiting Professor at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Indonesia, Vice President of the Asian Bioethics Association, and Distinguished Research Fellow at the Beijing Institute of Oriental Culture. He is also an Executive Director of the Chinese Bioethics Association and a Co-convener of the Beijing-Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) Cross-Strait Bioethics Annual Conference. Additionally, he acts as a Distinguished Expert for the "Huxiang Universal Health Project" under the Hunan Health Management Association and serves on the Advisory Committee for Medical Humanities Development at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou. Previously, he was a pioneer in medical humanities education in Taiwan and a key architect of the "Healthy Taiwan" policy initiative launched in 2005. He also served as a member of the Executive Yuan’s Advisory Committee on the Biotechnology Industry and the Long-Term Care Policy Planning Group. His past achievements include planning Taiwan’s first "Smart City" and establishing the Taiwan Biomedical Informatics Integration Center. He initiated the annual conference for cross-strait exchanges in bioethics and medical humanities, and assisted the governments of Thailand and Indonesia in planning mental healthcare, health policies, and bioethics frameworks—efforts for which he was honored with the Thai Mental Health Award. Currently, leveraging technology transfer initiatives supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Science and Technology, and backed by the leadership of Pingtung Christian Hospital as well as major medical centers, teaching hospitals, and universities across Taiwan, he founded "Health Asia" to promote smart hospitals and integrated medical-elderly care parks. He serves as the company’s Chairman and concurrently leads a medical team composed of attending physicians holding full professorial rank, dedicating himself to elevating the standards of healthcare and medical ethics in Asia while fostering trust between medical professionals and patients. He has authored over 200 articles in academic journals and edited volumes, as well as more than 30 books. His research interests span cultural studies, comparative history, bioethics, medical humanities, illness narratives, smart health technologies, healthcare management, and health and welfare policy. His professional endeavors encompass healthcare development across the Taiwan Strait and ASEAN nations, the promotion of smart health technologies, transnational professional talent training, precision health design, and the development of the integrated medical-elderly care industry.
